The ideal way to experience rural Maine's offerings is on our 400 acres of privately owned land in Parsonsfield, Maine. You will be surrounded by over 2000 acres of farm and forestland, and feel at home in our beautiful log facilities (made from lumber from the Tree Farm) which provide a rustic atmosphere along with all the comforts you need.
In a rare opportunity to experience one of Maine's key industries, you will reside in the heart of our working Tree Farm. Our woods are rich with wildlife; deer, turkey, grouse and the occasional black bear inhabit the woods and surrounding clover fields, allowing our visitors exposure to these animals in their habitat.
Our lodge is located inside a private entrance 1.2 miles down a graveled road, situated near our three-acre pond and two streams bordered by alder bushes. This ideal setting provides some of the best brook trout fishing. Learn or perfect your spin casting and fly-fishing, or take advantage of boating and canoeing the streams; or simply relax by the pond and its sandy beach complete with a spring-fed hand pump and privy. The pond is stocked with 2 - 5 lb bass and trout, no fishing license needed.
The lodge at our facility will meet all your needs. The facility is heated, with hot running water and shower. The main lodge provides a queen-sized bed and three bunks. Other bedrooms have 2-4 bunks and the 5-bunk bunkhouse houses ten and is complete with its own fully functional bath.
You can also take advantage of our common kitchen and living area with commercial gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, cook ware and utensils, full bath, oil furnace heat, and electricity. The utility room is equipped with a washer, dryer and telephone. A recreation building is available for classes and training programs or games in case of rainy days and evenings.
Your group or family will find this a welcome haven in the middle of a natural paradise deep in the heart of pastoral Maine. Our facilities can sleep up to 24 people and our day programs (Indoor/Outdoor Recreational Building) can accommodate up to 100 students. We look forward to seeing you at our Tree Farm.
